This is the first post in 2011 although it's already in March...

We are very glad that our program is now landing at BILBOLBUL festival in Bologna.

We're sorry that the first screening finished already but you can see our second program on Saturday.

There will be already some CALF programs planned at some festivals all around the world, (We'll keep inform you) but as far as we know now BILBOLBUL is the only opportunity to see CALF program in Italy.

There's no reason to see it if you live there!

Finally our shopping page is open!

To click "SHOP" in a menu on your left, a shopping page opens. You can buy our DVDs there. A Payment method is only paypal now, but soon you can pay by credit cards very soon.

The design of the site also changed. In a section of "Japanese Independent Animators" you can watch trailers for two DVDs available, Mirai Mizue and Tochka.

Kei Oyama, Atsushi Wada and Mirai Mizue are soon heading to Zagreb and Annecy because their films are in competition in both festivals. (Our web designer, Aico Kitamura’s film is in competition in Zagreb too. Nobuaki Doi will be there only in Annecy.) They have thousands of beautifully designed flyers of our label with themselves so feel free to ask them if you want one. To attendants for both festivals: don’t miss their screenings! Hope you like their films. All of them will be included in our DVDs.

CALF is an independent DVD label for works by Japanese filmmakers.
The founders are three animators Kei Oyama, Atsushi Wada, Mirai Mizue and one critic Nobuaki Doi. Our designer for DVDs and flyers is Misa Amako. The animator Aico Kitamura has done the design of our site.

Our first and second DVDs are the collections of Mirai Mizue and Tochka. They will be out in August this year perhaps during Hiroshima International Animation Festival. The third one is Atsushi Wada Works that will be available in October during Ottawa International Animation Festival.

You can buy all of the three DVDs from everywhere in the world from the “shop” section in our website (now under construction). Other than that there is a long waiting line to be released like the collection of Kei Oyama, of course. Keep informed by subscribing to our mailing list!
